Bomb Calorimeter Outfit offers an easy, simple and reasonably priced means for determination of heat of burning of organic substances and the calorific value of sulphur content of solid & liquid fuel. The outfit supplied is complete for examination as per the method suggested by British Standard Institution BS 1016. All parts of the outfit have been completed and experienced in accordance to the requirement laid down by Institute of petroleum and British Standard
IT IS SUPPLIED WITH:
The Digital Firing Unit, along with Digital Differential Thermometer, Calorimeter Vessel with Bomb Support, Water Jacket, Combined Lid for Calorimeter Vessel and water jacket, Stirrer, linking leads. The Connecting tubes are used to link bomb and pressure gauge, linking tube with fine alteration valve to link pressure gauge, pressure gauge on stand, Spanner for oxygen tube connection. The Ignition wire which is made up of 2 meters nichrome wire, Cotton reel, stand for bomb lid. It also has Hook for lifting bomb, stainless steal crucible, gas release value, vibrator, benzonic acids. ‘O’ Ring Big, ‘O’ Ring Small , ’O’ ring for Stirrer valve for Bomb, Valve key & Gelatin Capsule. It also contains an Instruction Manual.
Testing of Bomb:
The Bomb is made up of SS 316. Each Bomb is examined before it leaves the factory in agreement with the needs of the Institute of Petroleum (I.P. 12/63 T.Appendix 1)
The vessel is made up of copper and is Chromium plated or is of Stainless Steel. It takes into account a Bomb support that makes sure proper placing of the Bomb in the vessel.
The external container of Jacket is made up of copper and is chromium coated on both inside and outside or is made up of Stainless Steel. Further it is blocked by an ebonite cover. A terminal block is built in to the side of the container so that connection can be completed from the firing control.
The stirring means supplied provides us an adequate turbulence or turmoil for efficient stirring at the same time as no heat is passed on to the calorimeter water. It is made up of an impeller stirrer driven at a steady speed of roughly 800 R P M.
